I have been fortunate to be on both sides of a book editor's desk. As writer, I was honored to tell the compelling, true-life story of a Holocaust survivor in My Name Was No. 133909… And I Sang. As editor, I developed and edited a national anthology, The Cancer Poetry Project, which won critical acclaim and a sought-after Minnesota Book Award in 2002. Additionally, I have edited two educators' writing books for Scholastic and written a chapter included in a book of essays. Other book projects are in the works.
